World Cup weekend - just once more

Its the final weekend: Germany will fight for the 3rd place with Uruguay. The Netherlands will try to win their first World Cup and beat Spain. Join us on our roof terrace to breath in the last World Cup air this summer. Also a great place to sunbath on this hot weekend!

Public - Viewing - Maniacs

During the World Cup our Cosmo Lounge and roof top terrace is busy as hell. But now the madness starts again! We will show all quarter finals! Germany will play against Argentinia tomorrow and we will take off! Press, Radio and TV stations visited us already, so follow them! Public Viewing at baxpax downtown!

It was worth waiting fort he May issue of Geo Saison. The Hostel edition of the travel magazine shows a two page feature about our baxpax downtown Hostel Hotel. Her you can have a look at the "Good night, friends" article with some incredible pictures.

Hot Soca beats

It was freezing cold outside, but inside it was hot as fire! Babylon fire made it happen: Berlin Mitte shaked its booty! Reggae, dancehall and soca rhythms took of the Astronaut Club. Berliner Zeitung joined the party and shared its thoughts.

Our latest offer

We are happy about the tax reduction of our government and like to forward this to our guests. We reduced our internet fares by 35% from 1st January 2010. On top there will be W-lan in all baxpax areas or free.

this was the shit!

Right in time for their new release "Schöne neue Welt" Culcha Candela came by and spend an afternoon on our roof terrace. Whilst enjoying our BBQ their played a match table tennis and besides the cocktail they gave an interview to Yagaloo TV. Unfortunately they didn't hop in our pool even though it was quite tempting. It was great to welcome the boys and hopefully they will come around again.

Aprés nos retransmissions des matchs de football du FC Barcelone au baxpax downtown Hostel Hotel, la "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" nous a remarquée aussi. Offrant un lieu de rendez-vous pour le "Penya Barcelonista Berlin Culé" (club des supporteurs du FC Barcelone à Berlin), nous nous retrouvions souvent plein à craquer avec nos hôtes catalans! Nous nous réjouissons à l'avance de la saison prochaine et beaucoup de supporteurs heureux!

An artistic opening

Today we officially started our summer action "What’s your place to be in Berlin?" in cooperation with Berlin Partner. Invited guests, press, radio and TV joined the opening and had a look at the first "Comment Wall". Also painters and artists from the Berlin Wall came by and painted little artefacts on our "Comment Wall" canvases.

Last week, three articles about baxpax Hostels Hotels were released in german newspapers and magazines. On Thursday, Berliner Morgenpost introduced the Naked Art event, implemented by participants of the BBC TV Show "The last Millionaire" in baxpax downtown Hostel Hotel.
The national Paper Welt am Sonntag published an one-page Interview with our general Manager A. Zelck about the hostel scene in Berlin. The national magazine Stern introduced baxpax downtown Hostel Hotel as a special and fancy accomodation.

Les supporteurs catalans du FC Barcelone attaquent

Plus de 1000 supporteurs ont déferlé dans le baxpax downtown Hostel Hotel à l'occasion de la soirée foot du 2 mai 2009. Afin de satisfaire les besoins d'hospitalité, toutes capacités humaines et en équipement ont été exploités. L'ambiance était chaude - une atmosphère incomparable s’est répandu dans tout l'hostel lors du match entre le FC Barcelone et Real Madrid. Après 90 palpitantes minutes de jeu l'exultation fut infinie, alors que le FC Barcelone était ressorti vainqueur de la partie avec un score de 6:2. Les supporteurs s'abandonnèrent a leur joie et prirent d'assaut la Ziegelstraße - sans intentions hostiles, certes. Pour un moment la Catalogne se situa en plein Berlin Mitte et le tout fut diffusé en direct par la télé et les radios espagnoles.

Groupes de musiques hôtes au downtown

Pour une nuit durant leur tournée en Allemagne, les groupes francaises NEIMO et NAIVE NEW BEATERS ont été nos hôtes au baxpax downtown. Leur concert au très chaud Bang Bang Club à laissé le public electrisé. NEIMO, les nouvelles muses de Karl Lagerfeld, qui ont présenté leur nouvel album "Moderne Incidental" étaient très à l'aise dans notre maison ainsi qu'au bar.
